We are headquartered in Amsterdam and we have more than 1100 talented people of 55 nationalities working in 24 offices around Europe, with very diverse and multi-ethnic backgrounds. For the Finance team at Azerion Headquarters in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Financial Controller.

What you will be doing in this role

You will be driving the accurate and timely fulfilment of various accounting functions for Azerion E-commerce business. Azerion E-commerce legal entities are based both in the UK and in the Netherlands.  You will be developing and maintaining accounting controls and processes.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drive the accounting and reporting function of the E-com legal entities.
• Work closely to the Product owners (London and Amsterdam based), you are the first point of contact and act as a true business partner.
• Monthly closing and reporting
• Preparation of journals, accruals and reconciliations of key areas
• Intercompany reconciliation
• Work directly with Accounts Payable and subsidiary finance teams to improve and ensure accurate timely processing of AP, AR and intercompany transactions.
• Support Corporate Finance team to prepare/revise annual statutory financial statements and filing reports.
• Drive assurance processes with the external and internal auditors
• VAT accounting and compliance for both the Dutch and the UK entity
• Assist the Finance Director in developing and implementing robust internal procedures
• Ensuring adherence to company policy and IFRS
• Preparation of cash flow forecast for your respective entities
  
  

What you are able to bring to the table:

• Extensive experience with administration of multiple entities in an international group
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting or finance; professional accounting highly preferred
• Experience in a global- multicurrency and subsidiary environment
• Strong verbal and written skills in English
• Ability to Multi-task and prioritize in a highly demanding, dynamic and fast paced environment
• Strong contributor to an inclusive culture where high performance and integrity are important pillars.
