Overview

We are looking for a social-native Executive Creative Director to lead Boomerang’s creative house and Content Lab. This role sits at the heart of the agency and shapes how Boomerang shows up creatively, culturally, and commercially. You will own the entire creative output of Boomerang, with a clear mandate to raise the bar on social-first creativity. From big platform ideas to always-on ecosystems, from creator-led storytelling to culturally relevant activations, you ensure our work doesn’t just perform but matters. You’ll work closely with the Management Team (strategy and account leadership) as a true sparring partner and report directly to the Managing Director. Together, you will translate business ambition into creative ambition and make Boomerang unmistakable in the market.

In this role you are expected to lead Boomerang agency creatively through a stage that allows for operational and creative maturity while maintaining speed in production and creative through the empowerment of content teams, influencers and creators as well as traditional ATL. In Boomerang's world, the only constant is change and we are looking for a senior leader who can spot & translate CMO needs into strong, creative teams & output.

Responsibilities

Creative Leadership & Agency Impact

  • Own Boomerang’s social-first creative standard at agency level.
  • Lead and develop Creative Directors and senior creatives across disciplines.
  • Be the final creative decision-maker and escalation point for clients and teams.
  • Act as senior creative partner to CMO-level stakeholders, challenging briefs and assumptions when needed.
  • Providing growing and junior teams the right frameworks, mentorship and tools to be agile and successful.
  • Lead major pitch moments, from idea framing to creative narrative.
  • Create a high-performance creative environment that balances ambition, pace, and sustainability.

Social-First Creative Direction

  • Define how brands show up on social across platforms, formats, creators, and always-on systems.
  • Turn cultural signals, platform behaviour, and audience insight into platform-native ideas.
  • Stay close to platform and creator evolution and apply it selectively, not reactively.
  • Identify growth opportunities for existing and new clients.
  • Bring structure and focus to creative processes in high-output environments.

Creative Execution & Quality Control

  • Guide the development of social ideas from big platform concepts to daily content systems.
  • Work closely with strategy, account, media, and influencer teams to translate business goals into social storytelling.
  • Ensure work is distinctive, culturally relevant, and aligned with platform logic.
  • Protect creative quality, speed, and consistency across all output.

Performance & Effectiveness

  • Use data and performance signals to sharpen creative decisions.
  • Help define benchmarks for effective social work beyond views and likes.
  • Encourage test-and-learn across formats, creators, and platforms.
