The job

Cheil is looking for an ambitious Strategy Director who is ready to take the next step and use their experience and craft to add value to both our clients and the agency itself. Someone who wants to lead and shape a small but growing strategy department and be the torchbearer of strategy within the agency.

The ideal candidate

As a Strategy Director, you will be at the heart of our creative process, shaping strategic visions that drive breakthrough campaigns. You will translate business challenges into compelling insights, collaborating closely with creative teams, account leads, and clients to craft work that stands out and delivers measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop brand, communication, and social strategies for our clients.
Identify and interpret cultural, consumer, and category trends to inform creative direction.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated campaigns.
Craft compelling narratives and strategic frameworks that inspire both clients and internal teams.
Guide the research process, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative insights.
Provide thought leadership, pushing the agency forward in how we approach strategy and innovation.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate brand positioning, audience engagement, and market dynamics.

Requirements:

At least5+ years experience in strategy roles within top-tier creative agencies
A deep understanding of brand building, storytelling, and the evolving media landscape.
Strong grasp of cultural insights, behavioral psychology, consumer trends, and trends within the industry
A proven track record of driving award-winning and business-impacting campaigns.
Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to distill complex ideas into clear, inspiring narratives.
Experience working across multiple channels, from traditional to digital, social, and experiential.
Proactive mindset with a passion for creativity and innovation.
Fluent in Dutch and English
