Starcom Spain to manage Deoleo account in over 20 markets
Starcom’s Madrid office has secured established Spanish olive oil company Deoleo’s portfolio and will now chaperone media strategy and buying across the over 20 markets for the Deoleo Group.
The agency won the account after a competitive review that started in late 2019. Starcom will now support Deoleo’s leading brands such as Bertolli, Carbonell, Carapelli, Maestros de Hojiblanca, Figaro, Koipe, and Sasso, among others. Carbonell’s brand new campaign -#AhoraEsBuenMomento- was recently launched in Spain, and over the coming weeks will expand into France, the Netherlands and the United States.
Starcom’s Madrid office will serve as a global coordinator for the rest of Starcom’s network while also directly managing the communication of Deoleo’s different brands in Spain.
Rita Gutiérrez, CEO, Starcom: “Winning a new account is always an amazing piece of news, but it is even more important when it’s for such a well-known and appreciated brand as Deóleo is in Spain. Our challenge is clear: help Deoleo maintain its leadership position in Spain while also helping them grow in diverse markets such as India, Germany, France, Mexico, Australia and the USA. We will rely on our leading experience for Spanish accounts and Starcom’s global operational excellence to achieve this goal.”
Francisco Rionda, Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, Deoleo: “We are a Spanish multinational, currently located in 75 countries, where we work with all kinds of local agencies. However, we strongly believe in the expertise and talent in Spain. Therefore, when we find a media agency like Starcom, with an international vocation and experience, we will bet on them.”
