The role requires a highly organized, inventive, and creative individual who can oversee the entire post-production process. The post-production coordinator’s extensive knowledge of post-production enables them to find innovative solutions to bring creative ideas to life while maximizing the budget. Effective communication, strong negotiation skills, a creative mindset, and a resilient attitude are essential qualities for the role.

General Responsibilities within the Production Team

  • Work as a post-producer on assigned projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider production department.
  • Align with other departments (account, creative) and external vendors to ensure a smooth post-production process and optimize output quality.
  • Be an ambassador for the agencies and their clients, both internally and externally.
  • Have the desire and capability to grow and develop within the department.

Job-Specific Responsibilities

  • Organize the overall day-to-day operations of assigned productions and serve as the first point of contact for all stakeholders (other departments within the company, clients, external vendors).
  • Scope and schedule the post-production of advertising campaigns for, primarily but not exclusively, Radio, TV, Online Video, Social Media, and DOOH.
  • Work and negotiate with a vast network of vendors, setting clear expectations and timelines.
  • Keep track of schedules and costs, ensuring timely delivery within the scoped budget.
  • Safeguard outstanding quality both creatively and technically.
  • Guide the technical aspects of post-production by giving creative and practical advice, offering solutions, and clearly communicating limitations.
  • Manage long, detailed deliverables lists with sharp attention to detail, and enjoy ticking off every box.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for a client-facing role.
  • Assess the specific needs of each incoming post-production job and be responsible for optimal staffing and technical workflow.
  • Ensure all legal requirements specific to post-production are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the correct storage of projects.
  • Deliver TV and radio commercials according to the technical specifications provided.

Competencies

  • Extensive experience working as a post-producer in the audiovisual industry (5+ years), ideally at a post-production company and/or an advertising agency.
  • A true passion for post-production.
  • Thorough understanding of the creative process of filmmaking; experience in production is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and quantify, pitch, and quote all aspects of post.

  • Independent worker who enjoys providing input on concepts and project approaches during internal brainstorming sessions.
  • Knowledgeable about producing content for various social media platforms.
  • Has an extensive network of contacts, including editors, animators, (post-)production houses, and young filmmakers.
  • Keen interest in technical (post)production innovations, with a special focus on developments in AI.
  • Working proficiency in English and Dutch.
  • Able to work directly in the Netherlands.

Additional Company-Wide Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Be an ambassador of the company at all times (e.g., at events, in the media, in personal communication).
  • Be flexible and prepared to adjust the job profile—within reason—to market challenges the company faces.
  • Be available to act as a spokesperson (such as interviews, presentations, talks, TV appearances) representing the company.

What’s in it for you?

  • An informal atmosphere and diverse teams with many different nationalities and creative minds.
  • Attractive primary and secondary benefits, including travel allowance, 27 vacation days, and participation in our pension plan.
  • Fantastic learning experiences with NEBOKO Lab and the Knowledge Hub, and many opportunities to learn and grow with TBWA\U and LinkedIn Learning.
  • A bright, spacious, modern workspace on Vetterstraat in Amsterdam, easily accessible with ample parking.
  • A personal well-being budget via Alleo of €240 per year.
