About the Starters Position:

Are you passionate about crafting compelling content that captivates audiences? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment? Our Content Marketing Starters position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of digital content creation and strategy, gaining practical experience while working on real-world projects for exciting clients. Over the course of 12 months, you will develop a comprehensive skillset in content marketing, from copywriting and content strategy, and SEO to social search and client consultation. This starters position is designed to prepare you for a successful career as a content creator, -engineer, and Content Marketing Specialist.

Responsibilities:

During this starters function you'll gain experience in these capabilities, starting with operational tasks and growing towards more strategic and consultative work:

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative copy with and without the support of AI across various formats, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media updates, and video scripts. To a lesser extent, you also create visuals for social media or brief a visual designer.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of content marketing strategies for diverse clients, considering target audience, platform best practices, and SEO and Social principles.
  • Client Collaboration: Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and objectives to deliver tailored content solutions. Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement basic SEO best practices in content creation to improve organic search visibility.
  • Performance Analysis: Track and analyze content performance metrics, using data to inform future content strategies and optimize results.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow starters, marketing colleagues, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest content marketing trends, tools, AI, and best practices through ongoing training and self-directed learning.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Dutch and preferably English).
  • Strong creative writing abilities (Dutch and preferably English) and a passion for storytelling.
  • Basic understanding of content marketing principles and SEO.
  • Understanding of (the possibilities of) using AI and LLM's
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
