Service Designer (Dutch) - Full-time · Amsterdam

At Dentsu Creative Amsterdam we're looking for a Service Designer (Dutch) to join our team.

Your role

As a Service Designer with a strong research focus, you will uncover user needs, map real customer journeys, and validate concepts that shape meaningful digital services. You’ll work inside our client’s Experience Team while staying part of Dentsu Creative, giving you the mix of embedded product collaboration and an agency community for support and inspiration.

You’ll split your time between the client’s office for 2 days a week and our Dentsu Creative office for 1 to 2 days a week. The setup is flexible and designed to help you stay close to the teams you work with.

You bring curiosity, structure, and strong research skills, turning insights into direction and helping teams make informed decisions with confidence.

What you will be doing

  • Leading user interviews, usability tests, and concept validations (in Dutch)
  • Synthesizing insights into clear journeys, service maps, and opportunity areas
  • Creating service blueprints that connect frontstage experiences to backstage processes
  • Facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions with cross-functional teams
  • Translating research findings into actionable recommendations for Experience Design and Product
  • Collaborating closely with Experience Designers, Copywriters, and Product Owners
  • Supporting ongoing validation using AI-driven tools

Your profile

  • Experience as a Service Designer, UX Researcher, or hybrid CX role on a mid-weight to senior level
  • Strong research capabilities: interviewing, testing, synthesis, and insight communication
  • Confidence in turning qualitative data into structured journeys and clear next steps
  • Comfortable guiding sessions with stakeholders and presenting findings
  • Skilled at navigating feedback and collaborating across disciplines
  • Able to operate independently inside a client team while staying connected to Dentsu Creative
  • Fluent in Dutch (required for user interviews) and confident in English
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands (near Amsterdam)

Bonus points

  • Background in telecom, utilities, finance, or other service-rich environments
  • Experience with mixed-method research
  • Familiarity with AI-supported research, automated analysis, or prototyping workflows

Why this role

  • Conduct hands-on research that directly informs (new) services used at a national scale, shaping product decisions and improving customer satisfaction
  • Be part of multidisciplinary teams where research, design, product, and tech work closely together
  • Stay connected to Dentsu Creative’s design community through mentorship, open knowledge-sharing, and quarterly inspiration sessions exploring new tools, methods, and ways of working
  • Enjoy a flexible hybrid setup between the client’s Sloterdijk office and our Dentsu Creative Houthavens office
