At Dentsu Creative Amsterdam we're looking for a New Business Director - Experience and Innovation to join our team.

About the job

At Dentsu Creative Amsterdam, our Experience & Innovation team crafts next-level brand experiences – from immersive platforms and retail installations to AI-powered tools and branded games. We’re now looking for a commercially-minded New Business Director to help us build and strengthen partnerships, lead pitches, and drive the Experience business forward. You’ll play a pivotal role in both growth and relationship management, helping turn vision into value by connecting the dots between client ambition, creative opportunity, and digital craft.

Your Responsibilities

Business Growth & Pitching

  • Drive new business development efforts – from prospecting and qualifying leads to building decks and leading pitch processes.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and Business Director to define and launch new offerings and commercial propositions to market.
  • Identify low-hanging fruit across the Dentsu network and within existing client relationships both in the Experience & Innovation team as in the rest of Dentsu Creative Amsterdam to unlock new revenue streams.
  • Lead and support EMEA and local pitches for Experience-led projects, working closely with strategy, creative, tech, and production.

Client Partnerships

  • Act as the strategic business partner for key Experience clients, building long-term relationships rooted in mutual growth and trust.
  • Help clients translate vision into reality, serving as the commercial lead across platform, product, and experiential briefs.
  • Ensure our work meets the highest standards and aligns with client KPIs, budgets, and timelines.

Operational & Commercial Excellence

  • Own project-level scoping, pricing, and contracting in collaboration with production and finance teams.
  • Monitor profitability, pipeline health, and forecasting – proactively resolving risks or gaps in commercial performance.
  • Contribute to internal reporting, business reviews, and stakeholder updates.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Work closely with our Experience strategy, UX, creative tech, and account teams to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Help shape our team culture by mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative, curious, and open environment.

Your profile

  • 8+ years of client service and/or business development experience, ideally within a digital/creative/experience agency.
  • A strong commercial mindset and experience scoping complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent client-facing skills – confident in leading conversations with CMOs, digital leaders, and innovation stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for modern digital experiences.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a nice-to-have.
  • Collaborative, energetic, and kind – you care about the work and the people behind it.

Bonus Points If…

  • You have experience working within large networks and navigating complex client organizations.
  • You’ve helped shape internal ways of working or contributed to agency growth strategies.
